Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation, working at least every other holiday
• Complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, with an acceptable score

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in ICU or the specialty being applied for
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required — all certifications must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months, is required — co-worker references will not be accepted
• No open background check cases; facility does not accept any license hits
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU experience gained within a single location is preferred, though combined experience across locations may be considered
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and medication safety assessment tools
• Experience working in a large academic or high-acuity hospital environment
