Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | 12-Week Assignment (Start: 7/07/2026 – End: 9/26/2026)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a cardiovascular progressive care unit managing conditions including MI, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, heart block, respiratory failure, COPD, cardiomyopathy, endocarditis, carotid stenosis, and AAA
• Administer and monitor lytic therapy in accordance with unit protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Manage a patient assignment consistent with unit ratios (1:2 lytic, 3:1 high acuity, 4:1 other) within a 31–40 bed unit
• Participate in every-other holiday and every-third weekend rotation requirements
• Provide thorough shift handoff to charge or oncoming nurse, including outstanding tasks not readily visible in the EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a PCU, IMC, or stepdown specialty (no exceptions)
• Recent hands-on Epic EMR experience required
• All certifications must be current and provided with expiration dates at time of submission
• Ability to work night shifts with no block scheduling

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for cardiovascular patients including those requiring lytic therapy
• Familiarity with high-acuity stepdown environments and variable nurse-to-patient ratios
• Strong communication skills for timely and effective shift handoff during emergent situations
