Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Holiday rotation required | 1 weekend shift per 4-week schedule period | Up to 4 on-call shifts per 4-week schedule period

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub surgical cases across a broad range of specialties including Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (craniotomy, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN
• Operate within a Level I Trauma Center environment supporting a high-volume, dynamic main OR with 21 suites
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including coverage across like units or sister facilities as required
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety protocols; radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency prior to start
• Document and chart using the EPIC electronic health record system
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as directed, including during hurricane season (June through November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist
• NBSTSA certification required (NCCT not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Radiation badge required — must be supplied by the placing agency
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Neuro cases including spine and craniotomy procedures
• Experience with ENT flap cases
• Robotics experience, specifically with the Da Vinci Xi system
