Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week | Every other weekend, every other holiday; must work 2 of 3 winter holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a children's hospital setting, including Neuro Diagnostics
• Deliver care in a Level 4 NICU environment, managing complex neonatal patient populations
• Support cardiac PICU patients as needed within scope of practice
• Float within scope of practice to other units as operationally required
• Participate in self-scheduling model while remaining flexible to unit needs and patient care demands

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Active Virginia RRT license required (pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date; must hold an active license in another state to be eligible for a temporary Virginia license)
• Minimum Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must not exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility; travelers who have reached this threshold are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac PICU experience strongly preferred
• Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) credential preferred
