Key Responsibilities

• Render professional nursing care to patients within the Rehab unit, with float coverage to Med/Surg as needed
• Provide comprehensive clinical documentation including care plans each shift, and communicate patient information through bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding
• Identify and assist in correction of patient care safety issues, participating in daily unit-based safety huddles and quality improvement initiatives
• Monitor and remain current on unit-based nurse-sensitive indicators such as CAUTI, CLABSI, CDIFF, HAPU, falls, hand hygiene, and VAE
• Effectively delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel and collaborate with nursing students, instructors, and interdisciplinary team members
• Complete dysrhythmia course prior to completion of orientation, as required for telemetry-based departments

Required Qualifications

• Current New Hampshire RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Graduate of an approved nursing program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Basic Dysrhythmia certification preferred, or willingness to obtain prior to completion of orientation
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred, or willingness to obtain prior to completion of orientation
• Experience in a Rehab or Med/Surg inpatient setting
