Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Acute Care Float

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Function as a float RN, assigned to units based on staffing needs as directed by nursing supervision
• Provide acute care nursing across a variety of units including medical, surgical, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, cardiac, vascular, pulmonary, trauma, and observation
• Deliver patient-centered care with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6, adjusting as needed based on unit acuity
• Accurately document all patient care activities using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care across assigned units

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Tennessee RN license or multi-state compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licenses are not accepted
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR is required
• Ability to float to multiple units as assigned; block scheduling is not available for this role

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in telemetry, cardiac, trauma, or surgical nursing environments
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced float pool capacity across diverse specialty units
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
