Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Acute Care Float

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Function as a float RN, receiving unit assignments from the nursing supervisor based on staffing needs at the time of assignment
• Provide acute care nursing across a range of units including medical, surgical, oncology, neurology, cardiac, orthopedics, pulmonary, vascular, trauma, and observation
• Deliver patient care in accordance with unit-specific protocols and patient acuity, with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6
• Accurately document all patient care activities using Cerner EMR
• Participate in onsite orientation and complete required non-billable compliance modules as directed by the Nurse Educator

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Tennessee RN license or a valid compact/multi-state RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licenses are not accepted
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR is required
• No on-call requirement; block scheduling is not available

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Experience across multiple acute care specialties (e.g., telemetry, cardiac, neuro, orthopedics, oncology, trauma)
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying patient populations and unit environments
