Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Utilize Meditech for clinical documentation and patient records
• Manage patients with various respiratory, renal, and gastrointestinal conditions, including experience with telemetry, CVCs, indwelling catheters, and heparin drips
• Participate in weekend shift rotation (4 shifts per 28-day schedule) and holiday rotation
• Collaborate with Clinical Coordinators, Unit Secretaries, PCTs, and Case Management to deliver coordinated patient care
• Utilize communication boards to support patient experience standards

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Proficiency with standard unit equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, and walkers
• Strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills
• Willingness to float in rotation with other unit staff

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with telemetry monitoring in a Med/Surg setting
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience managing patients with complex respiratory, renal, or GI diagnoses
