Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care from referral/consultation through discharge and follow-up
• Performs and documents patient evaluations and assessments; gathers history and physical information
• Coordinates patient scheduling including consultations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments; assists with pre-authorization and ordering of labs, x-rays, and diagnostics
• Serves as a clinical liaison and expert for skin and wound-related quality and safety events; leads quarterly pressure injury prevalence survey efforts
• Educates patients and families in collaboration with surgeons and physicians; assists in developing patient and family educational materials
• Participates in patient rounds, case conferences, and process improvement initiatives related to wound care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
• Epic EHR experience required
• Proficiency with computer systems required, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access)
• Candidates must not have worked in a permanent, travel, or PRN capacity at an affiliated Beth Israel network facility within the past 6 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1–3 years of related wound care or clinical nursing experience
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) nursing, though not required
