Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Travel Contract)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Weekend availability required | Projected Start: September 22, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Telemetry/PCU Cardiac Unit with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Perform and document respiratory and cardiac assessments using telemetry monitoring and continuous pulse oximetry
• Administer blood transfusions, perform IV starts, and assist with midline/central line removals
• Care for high fall risk patient populations and apply appropriate safety protocols
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, PCU, and ED Hold areas as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure valid in the state of Texas
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience
• Demonstrated telemetry experience
• Navy blue scrubs required per dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Prepared certification
• PALS certification
• Prior experience in ICU, Telemetry, or PCU settings
• Strong team-oriented, self-motivated, and engaged work style
