Contract | 3 x 12-hour evening shifts (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | No block scheduling | Every other holiday required | Every 3rd weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a freestanding emergency department
• Manage and respond to high-acuity situations including Stroke Codes, Heart Codes, Trauma Codes, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and external pacing
• Perform and assist with Moderate Sedation procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR
• Deliver safe patient handoff at change of shift, communicating outstanding tasks and relevant clinical information to oncoming staff or charge nurse
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4; remain within the Emergency Department (no floating outside of the ED)

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or Compact RN license required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required; no exceptions
• Recent Epic experience required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; candidates within 50 miles are welcome to apply at the local rate
• No call requirement
• Overtime is not authorized; travel RNs are not approved for overtime or incidental overtime shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR charting system
• Familiarity with high-acuity emergency procedures including moderate sedation and code response
• Experience working in a freestanding or high-volume emergency department setting
