Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/HVTI unit setting, with potential to float to additional units caring for the same patient population
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate evaluations, achieving acceptable scores on both
• Work at least every other holiday as required by unit scheduling needs
• Complete annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules as applicable throughout the contract period

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or related specialty
• Active and in-hand permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months, is required — co-worker references will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PCU/Progressive Care experience strongly preferred
• Experience with ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments
• Background working in a high-acuity stepdown or intermediate care environment
