Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating culture, age, and developmental considerations, in accordance with RN scope of practice and applicable policies
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, determining desired outcomes in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition; initiate appropriate interventions to address stress and discomfort
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of patient care activities performed by other team members
• Facilitate patient education and discharge planning, coordinating with Case Management and other disciplines as indicated
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN)
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous nursing experience in an operating room or related clinical setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
