Contract (13 or 26 weeks available) | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an inpatient Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a focus on stroke, TIA, and higher-acuity med-surg patients, serving adult and geriatric populations
• Manage and care for patients with diagnoses including stroke/TIA, seizure, syncope, pneumonia, chest pain, dialysis, acute kidney failure, post heart cath, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, CHF, and sepsis
• Perform specialized unit procedures including peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
• Administer and manage medications using the Omnicell medication system
• Maintain a strong emphasis on patient experience and quality outcomes at a staffing ratio of 1:6 on nights
• Float to other units and/or campuses as needed based on census and demonstrated competencies

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit; first-time travelers are not eligible
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible at full rate; candidates residing 90–99.9 miles away may be considered at a reduced rate; candidates under 90 miles are not eligible (night shift exception: must be 50+ miles from the contracted campus — 50–99.9 miles considered at a reduced rate, under 50 miles ineligible)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience caring for stroke, TIA, or neurological patient populations
• Familiarity with peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation procedures
• Experience in a high-acuity med-surg or progressive care environment
