Travel Ultrasound Sonographer – Rapid Response

Contract | Travel | Nights | Monday–Thursday, 9:00 PM–7:00 AM | 8-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations spanning general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography across a patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric
• Conduct and assist with procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, FNAs, biopsies (liver, renal, thyroid, parotid, lymph node), drainages, thrombin injections, and OR-based procedures such as breast needle placements and prostate biopsies
• Apply knowledge of anatomy and pathology to accurately recognize and document normal versus abnormal sonographic findings
• Operate unit equipment including Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10 systems; document within Allscripts EMR and InteleRad PACS
• Adhere to all departmental exam protocols, attendance policies, and dress code requirements
• Maintain valid NH MIRT Licensure and RDMS certification — certification must be in hand prior to submission

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting with exposure to general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography
• Active RDMS certification required — must be in hand prior to submission
• Active NH MIRT Licensure required — must be in hand prior to submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong foundational knowledge of sonographic physics, techniques, and scanning skills
• Ability to manage an expected patient volume of 8–10 exams per shift

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Additional certifications such as RVT, OB-GYN, or AB
• Experience performing ultrasound-guided procedures and OR-based ultrasound support
• More than 1 year of experience beyond formal education
• Familiarity with Allscripts EMR and/or InteleRad PACS systems
