Physical Therapist – Inpatient (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Days | Full-Time | 8-Week Assignment | Shift start between 7:00 AM–8:00 AM, end between 4:00 PM–5:00 PM | Expected schedule Monday through Friday with 1 weekend shift per month

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments on inpatient units within a 330-bed acute care facility
• Manage an expected caseload of approximately 10 patients per 8-hour day
• Treat a high volume and wide variety of patients, with an emphasis on cardiac, vascular, and orthopedic diagnoses
• Float to cover all inpatient units as well as the Emergency Department as needed (NICU excluded)
• Document patient care using the Sunrise Allscripts electronic documentation system
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary therapy team including PT, OT, ST, and a Therapy Director

Required Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire Physical Therapy License — must be in hand at time of submittal
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience
• Acute care inpatient experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Vestibular experience preferred but not required
• Familiarity with rehabilitation equipment such as portable parallel bars, portable stairs, Sara Stedy, ceiling lifts, and hyper lifts
• Experience with Sunrise Allscripts or similar electronic documentation systems
