Registered Nurse – Telemetry / Post-Op (2 North Med-Surg)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Full-Time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Med-Surg unit with a 1:6 patient ratio, including telemetry monitoring and post-operative care
• Perform daily weights, vital signs, intake/output monitoring, hourly rounding, and bedside reporting
• Administer and manage cardiac drips, heparin drips, CBI, phototherapy, IV starts, NGT, and foley care
• Operate unit equipment including IV pumps, PCA pumps, epidural pumps, Ambit pain pumps, wound vacs (KCI & Prevena), Hoyer lift, and bladder scanner
• Utilize Meditech Expanse (PCS) EMR for documentation and patient management
• Float to ICU as needed for Med-Surg overflow patients; adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Telemetry experience required
• Post-operative care experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Availability for every-other-weekend shifts and required holidays; RTO must be pre-approved

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
• PALS certification preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Self-motivated, takes initiative, and works well as part of a team
