Travel Registered Nurse – Oncology ICU (BMT ICU)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Rotating Weekends | Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide total care for critically ill patients in a 10-bed Oncology ICU setting, maintaining a 2:1 patient ratio
- Titrate drips and manage patients on ventilators, BiPAP, CRRT, A-lines, and IV pumps
- Perform and assist with procedures including dressing changes, trach care, and turning of critically ill patients
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Float to all ICUs, PCU, and BMT units as needed based on census
- Report at 0645, clock in/out for lunch, and maintain professional rapport with physicians and interdisciplinary team
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of strong ICU experience, including titrating drips and caring for ventilated patients
- Experience managing BiPAP patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CRRT experience
- Transplant experience (Kidney, Pancreas, or Liver)
- Compassionate, team-oriented personality with strong communication skills and good rapport with physicians
