Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | Every other weekend required; weekends may exceed every other to accommodate unit needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a high-volume Level III NICU (approximately 190 births per month)
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Epic electronic health records
• May be expected to float to Mother/Baby unit for newborn care; candidates with couplet care experience may float fully
• Adhere to unit scheduling expectations, including holiday commitments — must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications and facility policies throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in NICU specialty
• Required certifications: BCLS, NRP, and PALS
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests at time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard travel rates; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Couplet care or Mother/Baby experience (enables full float capability)
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
