Travel RN – Neuroscience ICU (NSICU)

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Expected 36 hours/week | 6 weekend shifts per scheduling period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Neuroscience ICU at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for neurology patients post-thrombectomy and post-TPA administration
• Manage post-neurosurgery patients and monitor neurological status
• Perform and assist with procedures including CRRT, bedside EVD management, and A-line monitoring
• Document patient care using Cerner electronic health record system
• Float as needed to other ICUs or step-down units per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in North Carolina (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Neurology ICU nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with care of post-thrombectomy, TPA, and post-neurosurgery patients
• Familiarity with Baxter infusion pumps
• Experience with CRRT and external ventricular drain (EVD) management
