Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36- or 48-hour week options available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an Oncology Medical-Surgical unit within a large, short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center
• Function within a team nursing model with an expected ratio of 1:6, collaborating alongside LPNs, a medication nurse, and charge staff
• Participate in on-call duties and weekend shifts as needed
• Adhere to holiday work requirements — if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2 of the 3 holidays
• May be floated to like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius on an as-needed basis

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines — no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Oncology Med/Surg experience required; first-time travelers must have a minimum of 3 years of recent experience
• At least 1 prior completed travel assignment required (exceptions considered for candidates with 3+ years of recent experience)
• Oncology Certification (ONC) strongly preferred and expected
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; RTO submitted after an offer is presented will not be forwarded for approval

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level I Trauma Center experience
• Experience in a large hospital setting
• EPIC EMR experience
• 3 or more years of recent Oncology Med/Surg experience
