Contract | Nights (3x12, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed acute care Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit during night shift hours
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 (PCU) and 1:4 (Med Surg) in accordance with unit guidelines
• Participate in weekend rotation on an every-other-weekend basis
• Float to other units as required to meet facility staffing needs
• Adhere to all facility credentialing, compliance, and fingerprinting requirements in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — valid compact or Ohio state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references)
• Former employees of the facility must have been separated for at least 6 months to be eligible; current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible for a travel assignment
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry / PCU setting
• Comfort with floating to multiple units within an acute care environment
• Experience working night shifts in a high-acuity hospital setting
