Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a cardiac stepdown/PCU unit during night shift hours, including care for heart cath recovery, cardiac drip, and post-op open-heart patients
• Manage cardiac and med-surg stepdown patients in accordance with unit protocols and patient acuity
• Work an expected schedule that includes every 3rd weekend and coverage of one holiday, subject to change based on census and staffing needs
• Float to other units as needed during low census or coverage situations
• Provide care to ventilated patients on a rare, as-needed basis when patient needs and staffing requirements necessitate it
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Ohio
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum of three (3) years of cardiac stepdown experience, including heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, and post-op open-heart patients
• Demonstrated experience with open-heart patient care
• Proficiency with Epic EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for ventilated patients
• Comfort and flexibility with floating to other units as census and staffing demands arise
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac or PCU setting
