Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every other weekend required | No on-call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients on a 24-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Support and collaborate with therapy departments (PT, OT, ST) as patients complete up to 3 hours of therapy per day
• Administer IVP medications, blood products, and monitor patients via remote telemetry
• Assist with dialysis patients and maintain safe, patient-centered care while promoting patient independence
• Adhere to unit guidelines including fall precautions, HAI protocols, isolation procedures, and care experience standards
• Float to Med/Surg or Med/Surg Telemetry as needed; complete cardiac arrhythmia review test prior to placement

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be valid for the state of Texas)
• BLS certification (required)
• Completion of cardiac arrhythmia review test
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient or rehabilitation nursing experience
• Proficiency or ability to quickly learn Expanse EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification
• Medical/Telemetry experience or higher-acuity nursing background
• Strong collaborative skills with interdisciplinary therapy teams
