Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Oncology unit with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments in accordance with ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification standards
- Care for patients undergoing Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and CAR-T therapy
- Participate in block scheduling and commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Float to other units or nearby sister facilities based on skill set and census needs
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience required
- Must have a personal vehicle available for this assignment
- Must commit to block scheduling requirements
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (locals considered at an adjusted rate)
- 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant patients
- Experience with CAR-T therapy patients
- Prior travel nursing experience with demonstrated flexibility in floating assignments
