Contract | 13 Weeks | Days/Mids Shift (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) | Onsite | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all age groups within a high-volume, 54-bed Emergency Department
• Deliver care across a range of acuity levels, with nurse-to-patient ratios from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3–4 for all other patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to meet patient needs around the clock
• Utilize the Meditech EMR system for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Adhere to facility dress code (solid navy scrubs) and all department protocols
• Must be willing to float to other units and/or hospital locations as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); NURSYS verification required
• AHA ACLS certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA PALS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (AHA or Red Cross) required
• TNCC certification required
• SECURE (completed on-site) required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working under the highest level of professional license in an Emergency Department setting (18 months may be considered with qualifying circumstances)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume emergency department treating 60,000+ patients annually
• Familiarity with Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center environments
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Comfort with floating to multiple units or facilities
