Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (5:30 AM – 4:00 PM) | On-Call Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technologist duties in a cardiovascular operating room environment, supporting adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
• Assist with general and neuro surgery cases; cardiovascular case experience is highly valued
• Fulfill on-call obligations, expected at approximately 2–3 call shifts per week and at least one weekend per month (24-hour Saturday and Sunday coverage)
• Operate within a 12-OR suite and document using Cerner electronic health records
• Adhere to all facility compliance requirements, including a strict nicotine-free policy — candidates must be nicotine-free, as a positive nicotine screen will result in cancellation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CVOR/surgical technologist experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Active scrub technologist experience required
• National certification required: NBSTSA or TS-C (NCCT certification will not be accepted)
• BLS certification required
• Active Maryland or Compact state license required — must be active and in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Must be available to work Christmas week
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the standard rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiovascular surgery case experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
• Ability to accommodate a block schedule arrangement
