Seasonal Travel RN – PICU

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a 20-bed PICU with a 1:2 or 1:1 patient ratio
• Operate and monitor equipment including Philips monitors, Alaris and Medfusion IV pumps
• Perform and assist with conscious sedations and care of patients in respiratory failure, including ETT and HFOV management
• Maintain and care for central lines and assist with CT placement
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a free charge RN, bedside RNs, and PCTs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of current PICU RN experience
• Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Post-operative cardiac experience
• Venous puncture skills
• Flexible, team-oriented approach with a helpful and humble demeanor
