Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and accurately report results to physicians for use in the diagnosis, treatment, and/or monitoring of diseases
• Assist in the general operation of the laboratory, including quality assurance programs
• Perform maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipment
• Function as a general supervisor for waived, moderate, and high complexity testing upon successful completion of probationary period
• Apply independent judgment and professional education in day-to-day laboratory operations

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or a related area of specialty
• Certification/registration (AMT or ASCP) as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or certification/registry eligible
• Knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technology
• Ability to work independently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting performing moderate and/or high complexity testing
• Familiarity with laboratory quality assurance programs and regulatory compliance
