Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a float pool capacity across approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments, including coverage at additional metro area campuses as needed — this is a float pool position with no assigned home unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergent situations on the unit
• Care for patients presenting with conditions including sepsis, renal failure, stroke, AFIB, GIB, ETOH, SI, wound care, and COVID
• Perform pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care and support cardiovascular patient populations
• Fulfill holiday shift and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit rotation
• Meet weekend requirements of 8 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period, with shifts distributed across Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission; inability to meet this requirement may result in cancellation
• Pending licenses are not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac monitoring, neuro stepdown, and MS/Tele work settings
• Familiarity with technology including Virtual Nurses, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with sheath removal (cardiovascular)
• Feeding tube care and management
• IV therapy skills including port access, blood product administration, and central line care and management
