Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry float pool setting across designated units
• Float to various units based on facility needs
• Document patient care and assessments using EPIC
• Complete NIH and stroke education as required for all RNs at this facility
• Maintain compliance with all facility and unit-specific protocols and standards of care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — Virginia license required to be in hand at submittal, or proof of a compact license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Specialty experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry within the last year required
• SSN required at time of submittal
• One supervisory reference required at submittal
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 6 months prior to placement
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same rate as travelers

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• NIH stroke scale certification or prior stroke education
