Travel RN – Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | Full-Time | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for cardiac and telemetry patients utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately in Epic EMR
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in state of employment or compact state
• BLS certification via AHA required
• ACLS certification via AHA required
• Epic EMR experience required
• True cardiac unit experience required (this is not a stepdown unit; patients are cardiac and telemetry)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a telemetry or cardiac nursing specialty
