Registered Nurse – Oncology (BMT / Hematology Oncology)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct inpatient nursing care to patients with complex hematologic and oncologic diagnoses including leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, and related conditions
- Administer chemotherapy and support patients undergoing autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants as well as CAR-T therapy
- Perform telemetry monitoring, interpret dysrhythmias, and utilize Rapid Response Teams as clinically indicated
- Manage central lines, PICC lines, and peripheral lines including sterile dressing changes and central line blood draws
- Administer blood products and provide feeding tube care and management
- Document all patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical-Surgical and inpatient hematology oncology experience
- Active Registered Nurse license – valid compact or state license required at time of submission; must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
- Demonstrated skills in telemetry monitoring, chemotherapy administration, blood product administration, and vascular access management (central line, PICC, peripheral)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience in a mixed acuity PCU or Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
- Familiarity with bone marrow transplant nursing care and CAR-T therapy protocols
