Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department serving all age groups, including critical and trauma patients, within a 54-bed Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:1 for critical/trauma patients to 1:3–4 for all other patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver comprehensive emergency medical services
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Float to other units or hospital facilities as needed
• Adhere to facility dress code (solid navy scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a valid Compact license — no temporary licenses accepted; must be verifiable through NURSYS
• AHA ACLS certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA PALS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (AHA or Red Cross)
• TNCC certification required
• SECURE certification required (completed on-site)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience working under the highest level of professional license (18 months may be considered)
• Willingness to float to other units and hospital facilities as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume Emergency Department treating 60,000+ patients per year
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Experience in trauma or stroke care settings
