Travel RN – Emergency Department

Contract | 13 Weeks | 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM (Mid Shift) | Alternate weekends expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of up to 1:5, acuity dependent
• Manage and respond to high-acuity cases including trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis
• Perform and assist with advanced procedures including thoracotomy, arterial lines, and massive transfusion protocol (MTP)
• Operate advanced monitoring equipment, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines
• Document patient care using Meditech EMR (transitioning to Meditech Expanse)
• Float to freestanding Emergency Department locations as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience
• Advanced critical thinking skills and demonstrated clinical competency in emergency care
• Extensive experience with trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis management
• Required certifications: ENPC, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and CPI with TIC

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Adult and pediatric Emergency Department experience
• NRP and STABLE certifications
• Familiarity with HCA nurse contract and pool certification requirements
