Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub open heart and vascular surgical cases, including wired vascular procedures
• Perform surgical technician duties within the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting
• Fulfill on-call requirements, including 1–2 weekday call shifts per week from end of shift until 7:00 AM the following morning
• Participate in weekend call rotation, expected at approximately 1 weekend per 6 weeks (24 hours Saturday and 24 hours Sunday)
• Participate in holiday call rotation as needed
• Complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate, with an acceptable passing score

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent surgical technician experience
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required at time of submission
• Permanent Ohio license or compact license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• All required certifications must be active and in hand at time of submission — no pending certifications accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months, is required — co-worker references will not be accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and will be considered at the same rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CVOR-specific experience strongly preferred
• Experience scrubbing open heart and complex vascular cases
• At least 1 year of permanent experience within a single specialty location
