Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Expected 36 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care/Step-Down unit as part of a float pool team
• Float to an affiliated nearby hospital location as needed (no commute required; alternate site is approximately a 5–6 minute walk)
• Perform IV starts and continuous telemetry monitoring
• Utilize the EPIC electronic health record system for documentation and patient management
• Weekends may be required as part of the scheduled rotation

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of PCU/Step-Down nursing experience
• Active RN license — valid compact or Ohio state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references accepted)
• Former employees of the hiring facility must have been separated for at least 6 months to be eligible; current employees of any affiliated hospital location are not eligible for a travel assignment
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Comfort with fast-paced, high-acuity step-down patient populations
• Strong adaptability and communication skills across diverse care teams
