Key Responsibilities

• Provide intermittent hemodialysis (IHD) services to stable patients in a dedicated dialysis unit as well as bedside hemodialysis for ICU patients unable to travel to the unit
• Connect and disconnect patients from peritoneal dialysis treatment
• Operate Fresenius hemodialysis machines; full orientation to equipment will be provided
• Participate in on-call rotation and every-other-weekend scheduling as required
• Complete facility-required assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate during orientation, achieving a passing score within two attempts
• Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency requirements and pre-start and annual online modules as directed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent Dialysis experience
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license must be in hand at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the Dialysis specialty required; reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months — co-worker references will not be accepted
• No open background check cases or license hits; any background hits will be reviewed by the facility on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience operating Fresenius hemodialysis machines
• Familiarity with bedside hemodialysis in an ICU setting
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis connection and disconnection procedures
