Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in a 36-bed CVICU with targeted patient ratios of 1:2
• Manage and monitor patients with Impella, Pulmonary Artery Lines / Swan-Ganz catheters, and thermodilution PA catheter monitoring
• Care for post-cardiac surgery patients, including those arriving directly from the OR, as well as pre- and post-cardiac catheterization/intervention patients
• Manage telemetry, drips, ventilators, A-lines, sheaths, and dialysis; perform and interpret ABG draws and EKG/rhythm strips
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within the facility or to nearby campuses as assigned, based on skill set and census needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in any U.S. state or valid compact license (Ohio license not required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips; must pass an online EKG/dysrhythmia competency assessment prior to assignment start
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
