Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - RRT-NICU

Contract (52 Weeks) | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Onsite | Expected 36 or 48 hours/week available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services within a Level 4 NICU and children's hospital setting
• Perform neuro diagnostics and respiratory assessments in accordance with scope of practice
• Participate in an every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotation; expected to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Utilize self-scheduling model in coordination with unit management to meet departmental coverage needs
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Maintain current RRT certification, BLS, and NRP throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Active Virginia state license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before the start date — a license in at least one other state is required to be eligible for a temporary Virginia license
• Level 4 NICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) certification preferred
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
