Key Responsibilities: • Assess and treat patients with speech and language disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs and goals • Conduct evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions to improve communication skills, swallowing, and cognitive abilities • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care and patient outcomes
Required Qualifications: • Professional licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a skilled nursing facility or acute care setting • Strong assessment and treatment skills, with ability to work with diverse patient populations
Preferred Experience / Skills: • Experience working with patients with complex medical conditions, such as stroke or traumatic brain injury • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and current research in speech and language pathology • Experience with electronic medical records and documentation software
