Oncology Registered Nurse
Registered Nurse - Oncology
San Antonio, TX
Full-time, 13-week travel assignment with day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration, central line management, and blood product transfusions.
 - Monitor patient responses to treatments, document accurately in Meditech system, and adhere to all safety protocols.
 - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
 - Ensure patient comfort and safety, including performing CHG baths and maintaining central line dressings.
 - Follow hospital policies on floating, dress code, and infection control guidelines.
 
Required Qualifications:
- Active Texas RN license (TEXAS LICENSE ONLY; temporary licenses not accepted).
 - Minimum of 5 years of relevant nursing experience, with a focus on oncology.
 - BLS certification.
 - Experience with Meditech electronic health record system.
 - Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and central line management.
 
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Chemotherapy certification.
 - Experience with Mediports, PICCs, and central lines.
 - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced oncology setting.
