Key Responsibilities

• Provide urgent and emergent nursing care to diverse patient populations in a high-volume Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center.
• Monitor and assess patients using GE monitors and Baxter pumps, documenting care accurately within the Cerner system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient treatment.
• Support triage and internal processing areas, maintaining a respectful and compassionate approach aligned with hospital protocols.
• Demonstrate flexibility to float across all ED sections as needed, maintaining high standards of patient safety and care.
• Adhere to hospital policies including AIDET, infection control, and patient experience initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications before start date
• PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS certifications before start date
• ENPC certification within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an emergency department setting.
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center and high-volume EDs (over 100,000 visits) preferred.
• Previous HCA experience is a plus.
