Key Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, individualized nursing care to patients on the OB unit using the nursing process.
• Demonstrate clinical competencies, sound nursing judgment, and effective teaching skills.
• Perform general and unit-specific clinical skills independently, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
• Ensure adherence to all Standards of Nursing Practice and deliver age-appropriate care across all OB department areas—including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-operative gynecology patients.
• Manage supplies and equipment efficiently while promoting teamwork with physicians and hospital staff.
• Uphold hospital policies related to confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience as an RN.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Successful completion of general nursing and unit orientation.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate required.
• STABLE certification preferred.
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Computer proficiency.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in OB/GYN or maternal-child health settings.
• Strong teamwork and patient education skills.
