Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care in a high-volume Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe and efficient patient care.
- Triage and assess incoming patients, prioritize treatments, and perform necessary procedures.
- Document patient information accurately using Cerner electronic health record system.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, adhering to hospital policies and standards.
- Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and a strong patient-centered approach in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina or as applicable.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days).
- Experience working in Level 2 trauma centers and high-volume EDs exceeding 100,000 visits annually.
- Ability to work flexible rotations, including every other weekend.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide real-time feedback and coaching.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a hospital with diverse and multicultural patient populations.
- Knowledge of GE monitors and Baxter pumps.
- Bilingual skills or experience serving a multicultural community.
- Familiarity with HCA hospital systems is a plus.
