Key Responsibilities

• Teach American Sign Language (ASL) to students of various age groups
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues and staff to support student success

Required Qualifications

• Valid teaching certification or license in sign language instruction
• Experience teaching ASL or American Sign Language courses
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of diverse learning styles and adaptive teaching methods
• Ability to create an engaging and respectful classroom environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working with students with special needs or diverse learning requirements
• Certification in ASL teaching or related specialized training
• Fluency in ASL and proficiency in sign language teaching techniques
