Key Responsibilities
- Teach American Sign Language (ASL) to students of various age groups
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and staff to support student success
Required Qualifications
- Valid teaching certification or license in sign language instruction
- Experience teaching ASL or American Sign Language courses
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of diverse learning styles and adaptive teaching methods
- Ability to create an engaging and respectful classroom environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working with students with special needs or diverse learning requirements
- Certification in ASL teaching or related specialized training
- Fluency in ASL and proficiency in sign language teaching techniques
