Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate patient care in a medical-surgical/neuro unit.
• Perform procedures including IV starts, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
• Monitor patients using telemetry, IV pumps, and other medical equipment; document care using Meditech system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including safety, documentation, and patient experience standards.
• Maintain compliance with certification requirements and hospital guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
• Basic proficiency in wound care, IV placement, and patient monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a level II trauma center or stroke-certified hospital
• Familiarity with emergency and trauma procedures
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and unit policies
