• Full-time, 13-week contract, night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized critical care to cardiac and ECMO patients in the CVICU setting.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics, managing titratable drips and complex medical equipment.
• Assist with procedures such as central line and chest tube insertions, bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, and intubations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies and standards, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience, specifically with cardiac monitoring, rhythms, and titratable drips.
• Experience with respiratory patients including vents, BiPAP, trachs, and airvo.
• Familiarity with ECMO, Impella, balloon pumps, and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Competency with ventilators, CRRT, SLED, and advanced ICU equipment.
• Strong teamwork and adaptability skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with open heart surgery recovery.
• Prior CVICU charge nurse experience.
• Knowledge of Meditech EMR.
