Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends, no guaranteed hours but typically 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care for critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU environment, including ECMO, heart transplant, CABG, and ventilated patients
- Monitor hemodynamic parameters, perform advanced patient assessments, and respond to emergent situations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech system
- Ensure patient safety through bedside shift reports and adherence to unit protocols
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including dress code and infection control standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (temp licenses not accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including high-acuity settings
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilated patients, and post-CABG care
- Ability to work night shift and adapt to floating policies as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Meditech electronic health record experience
- CVICU experience and advanced ICU skills
- Experience with ECMO and transplant patient care
