Schedule / Job Type
• Travel, 13-week assignment with mixed shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays, rotating call)
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in surgical procedures within a busy operating room environment, supporting OR staff across multiple specialties including orthopedics, trauma, neurosurgery, general surgery, robotics, ENT, GYN, plastics, podiatry, dental, and more
• Ensure sterile techniques and proper instrument handling during surgeries
• Maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment, adhering to hospital protocols
• Support patient preparation and recovery activities as needed
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure smooth workflow and patient care quality
Required Qualifications
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a hospital surgical setting
• Ability to scrub multiple surgical specialties, including orthopedics, neuro, trauma, and general surgery
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with robotic surgery and trauma procedures
• Knowledge of Meditech electronic medical record systems
• Friendly, professional, and self-motivated personality to fit within a fast-paced surgical unit
